About Me

Zanna Nguyen (she/her) is a nineteen-year-old college student at Agnes Scott College, currently in her junior year and double majoring in Creative Writing and the Creative Arts with a concentration in theater. Her written works are mostly centered in short stories and scripts for the stage. She likes to experiment with different genres of creative writing but finds a focus in Metafiction and Creative Nonfiction. Her main interests when writing include Asian experiences, historical counter-narratives, and a deep love for gothic horror. Her goal when it comes to her projects land on the untold stories and hidden gems that are barely presented in Western media. Although none of her works have been published for the time being, she had co-written a play alongside actor, Sims Lamason, titled Lunch Box. It made its debut at the Aurora Theatre in 2022 where Zanna also produced and performed. 

When she isn’t writing, she is mainly focused in the performing arts and acting for the stage. She is an active member of the ASC Blackfriars, a student-led drama organization, and social media chair for their executive board. She has had experience with both student-led and department-led productions. After college, she intends to publish her works and possibly debut another play of hers.
